The steam-bent, fiber-woven bistro chair has been an enduring design archetype since the early 20th century. With the Bistra Collection, Milan-based studio AMDL CIRCLE reinterprets this classic typology for today, refining the traditional bistro silhouette to its most essential form. The design is distilled to three steam-bent rattan elements—the backrest, armrests, and a distinctive double-fork leg structure—bound with tone-on-tone rattan weaving that references classic bistro detailing. Inspired by the organic nature of rattan, Bistra appears to rise naturally from the ground, combining heritage craftsmanship with a contemporary sensibility.
