Violin Chair

The Violin Chair by GamFratesi is a light, contemporary half-arm dining chair that exemplifies the studio’s craftsmanship, creativity, and mastery of materials. Its name references the two parallel lines running from the backrest to a horizontal bar beneath the seat, reminiscent of violin strings or a tuning fork—lines that first appeared as pencil marks in the earliest sketches and inspired the design. Tapered legs support a rounded seat and an embracing backrest, which extends subtly to provide occasional support for the forearm, elbow, or hands.
